Mr. Bickley is a principal of Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit and has been a practicing attorney since 1978. He concentrates his practice in condominium, townhome and homeowner association representation, as well as in civil litigation and personal injury. As a complement to his practice as an attorney, Mr. Bickley has served for a number of years as a lecturer/instructor in condominium and homeowner law at both Harper Community College and Joliet Junior College (see Seminars and Classes for a list of currently offered courses) .
Mr. Bickley, who attained the rank of Major in the United States Marine Corps, brings a wealth of experience to his current practice. Among other things, he served as Assistant Attorney General of the State of Illinois from 1978-1979; as Chief Defense Counsel, United States Marine Corps, 3rd Marine Division, in Okinawa, Japan from 1980-1981; as Chief Trial Counsel, United States Marine Corps, 1st Force Service Support Group, from 1982-1983; and as a Hearing Officer with the Illinois State Board of Elections from 1985-1990. He has also served as a Trustee for the Village of Hawthorn Woods, and is currently Chairman of the Hawthorn Woods Environmental Committee.
