Julie A. Jacobson joined the firm in 2001 as a litigator, focusing on condominium, townhome, and homeowner associations. Since then, Ms. Jacobson has handled a significant number of collection matters, evictions, landlord/tenant disputes, and breaches of contract. She thrives in the courtroom and has logged thousands of hours in many Cook and collar county courtrooms.
Most recently, Ms. Jacobson has made her extensive collection experience available to individuals and businesses outside of the firm's community association practice. She has taught seminars and led roundtable discussions on topics ranging from trial preparation to rent collection, and helped many attendees avoid common, but costly, mistakes in the housing and rental markets.
Ms. Jacobson is also an integral part of the firm’s Community Involvement Committee. For the past four years, she has spearheaded the firm's Holiday Giving Program, which provides holiday gifts for the residents of various Lake County shelters (see 2008 Thank You Letter from Lake County PADS).
Ms. Jacobson and her family strive to reduce their impact on the environment and shrink their carbon footprint, whenever possible. At the office, Ms. Jacobson is taking the lead to assist the firm and its employees in reducing paper waste, water usage, and unnecessary driving.
Outside of her legal, charitable and environmental efforts, Ms. Jacobson plays golf whenever the opportunity arises, and stays busy raising her two young daughters with her husband.
