Bio
Matt represents condominium, homeowner, and townhome associations, drafting and interpreting association documents, managing relationships with municipalities, villages, and other governmental agencies, handling real estate tax issues and various types of disputes, and providing general counsel. He currently serves as the firm’s Managing Principal and as a member of the KSN Executive Committee. In these roles, he is integrally involved with the firm’s strategic direction, and overall performance optimization and measurement. Matt is an experienced and active litigator, having argued cases before the Illinois Appellate Court and the Illinois Supreme Court. Prior to joining KSN, Matt served as a criminal prosecutor in the Cook County State's Attorney's office. This experience enables him to assist community associations with crime prevention programs and, when needed, navigate the criminal justice system. Matt believes in practicing preventive law and proactively addressing legal issues before they become large, costly disputes. He joined KSN in 1994 has been a practicing attorney since 1991.
