Community Involvement at KSN: You Can't Do Wrong By Doing Right
We believe every organization should do everything it can to strengthen the communities in which it does business. Each year, KSN’s Community Involvement Committee coordinates several outreach programs, with KSN team members donating their time and effort to make a difference.
Some examples:
- The Community Involvement Committee coordinated a successful April Food Drive. KSN employees donated food items to the Wheeling Food Pantry to be distributed to area families in need as well as pet food and supplies to the Buddy Foundation, a local non-profit that cares for shelter animals.
- For the second year, Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit and its employees donated supplies, as well as time and funds, to assemble 120 arts and crafts activity packets for the patients at Children's Memorial Hospital.
- We also participate annually in the Race Judicata, a walk/run organized by Chicago Volunteer Legal Services to benefit legal aid in Chicagoland. Our participants raise money and awareness for the cause. The KSN team increases in size every year as the group’s enthusiasm spreads throughout the firm.
- Each year, through our KSN Giving Tree Program, KSN team members “adopt” local families in need. This year alone, we will be donating gifts for over 70 women and children living in a nearby shelter.
These are just few of our community involvement initiatives. To learn more, or suggest new avenues for community involvement, please contact Arlene Sopata, our Community Involvement Committee Chairperson.
