Carin Wolkenberg advises clients in the purchase, selling, and leasing of commercial, industrial, retail, and residential real estate.
She has reviewed contracts/leases, negotiated mortgage loan documents, analyzed development agreements, and prepared corporate documents on small to large scale transactions for a diverse group of organizations and individuals.
Throughout her career, Carin has helped clients resolve zoning matters and assisted them in obtain zoning amendments in Chicago and on the North Shore. She has also represented clients before liquor control boards in Chicago and North Shore communities.
Carin has advised clients on estate planning matters including wills and trusts. She has represented estate clients transferring property subject to review of probate court. Carin has also advised clients on entity formation, effectuating business transactions, and general corporate matters.
Carin has also served as in-house counsel for a title company where she provided underwriting on commercial real estate transactions.
From 2001-2011, Carin was an adjunct professor at Roosevelt University where she taught residential and commercial real estate, commercial lending, zoning, and leasing.
Carin has also volunteered as an attorney mediator in Cook County where she worked with lenders and borrowers to mediate loan foreclosure matters.
