Gerald Smoller concentrates in matters of commercial real estate, business organization, representing professional practices, trust administration, and estate planning.
Clients count on Gerald to represent them in the formation of shareholder, partnership and employment agreements; drafting, reviewing and negotiating leases; and providing representation in the sale and purchase of commercial real estate. He excels at counseling clients in the purchase and sale of businesses, representing them through the complexities of the transaction.
Gerald’s approach to estate planning is to educate clients about the full range of options available to them, taking the time necessary to make sure that they understand the “why” behind the structure of their estate plans and asset preservation.
Gerald currently serves as Chairman of the firm’s Transactional and Estate Planning Committee. He has also served as an arbitrator in Cook County’s Mandatory Arbitration Program. Gerald has received an AV Preeminent Peer Review From Martindale Hubbell; their highest peer rating for ethical standards and professional ability. He has also been recognized as a Leading Lawyer by the Leading Lawyers rating service.
