Thomas Olson concentrates his practice on the representation of condominium and Common Interest Community Associations (townhome, homeowners). He handles real estate disputes, including: foreclosure, consumer finance defense, commercial litigation, collections, mechanic’s lien, title disputes, eminent domain, code violations, and forcible entry and detainer.
Thomas has been a practicing attorney since 2015. He has assisted banks, financial institutions, business entities, and individuals in resolving real estate, commercial, and consumer finance disputes. Tom has also advised clients on matters of statutory and regulatory compliance at both the state and federal levels.
Thomas has handled all aspects of litigation, including: court appearances and oral arguments; discovery; legal research, writing and motion practice; compliance review and document review. He offers a high level of expertise in Illinois Civil Procedure, the Illinois Mortgage Foreclosure Law, Consumer Finance Laws (TILA/Reg Z, RESPA/Reg X, FDCPA, HUD/CFPB/GSE servicing guidelines), and real estate title issues.
