Vasili Liosatos focuses his practice in the area of transactional real estate, specifically, commercial and residential property acquisitions and dispositions, with an emphasis in Section 15 condominium deconversions.
Vasili works closely with property owners, condominium associations, title insurance companies, management companies, opposing counsel, and third parties in resolving common and novel issues related to real estate transactions. Vasili recognizes that the relationship between a seller or purchaser of property is unique to every transaction. Accordingly, he takes great care to note the specifically-tailored interests of his clients in every purchase or sale of real estate.
Prior to joining KSN, Vasili worked for a Chicago law firm specializing in residential real estate transactions. Vasili also practiced as a consulting attorney, handling large-scale compliance-related projects for Fortune 500 companies.
During law school, Vasili clerked for Judge Jill Cerone-Marisie at the Cook County Third Circuit Court in Rolling Meadows, Illinois and interned for the Law Office of the Cook County Public Defender. Vasili also served as fellow at the ICTY (International Criminal Tribunal, Former Yugoslavia) in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, working at the State Court of Bosnia in conjunction with the United Nations Security Council. Vasili is also a member of the Hellenic Bar Association.
Vasili attended law school at Florida Coastal School of Law, where he served as a Research Assistant to Professor John Knechtle, earning his Juris Doctorate and Certificate of International and Comparative Law. Vasili attended Elmhurst College for undergraduate studies, where he majored in Political Science.
