KSN attorney Erik Wilson represents an array of clients throughout Cook County and the greater Chicagoland area, advocating on their behalf to secure fair and equitable property tax assessments. Since joining the firm’s property tax appeals group, Erik has focused his practice on navigating the complexities of Illinois’ property tax system to achieve meaningful tax savings for property owners.
Erik’s practice emphasizes meticulous review of property assessments and the identification of valuation, classification, and record errors that can materially affect tax liability. He regularly represents clients before the Assessor’s Office, Board of Review, and, where necessary, in administrative and judicial proceedings.
Before joining KSN, Erik developed a strong foundation in litigation and real estate matters, refining his courtroom skills and broad legal perspective through work in both public and private sector roles. He brings a client-centered approach to his representation, tailoring strategies to reflect the unique characteristics and tax profiles of commercial, residential, and mixed-use properties.
Erik earned his Juris Doctor from Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law and was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2012. While in law school, he served as a Chicago-Kent National Trial Team Coach, was a 2012 TYLA Midwest Regional Champion, acted as a PLUS Program Teaching Assistant, and served as Community Outreach Coordinator for the Black Law Students Association. He also received the CALI Award for Intensive Trial Advocacy I. Erik earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
