Illinois Governor J.B. Prizker issued a new executive order extending the residential eviction moratorium through October 3, 2021.
The new order allows court proceedings but prevents the Sheriff from carrying out evictions. However, law enforcement will be able to enforce court ordered evictions after the order is rescinded on October 3, 2021.
