Robert Nesbit is among the Midwest’s most visible and highly respected condominium, homeowner (HOA), and townhome community association law attorneys and industry thought leaders.
Robert is a seasoned business strategist at Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit and has been instrumental to the firm’s growth and success for over a decade. He has directed many of the firm’s association law innovations including litigation insurance for condominium, homeowner, and townhome communities. Robert also pioneered the use of monthly retainers programs to provide affordable legal assistance to associations.
Practicing law since 1984, Robert has extensive experience advising and consulting with association boards of directors and property managers on a wide range of matters including drafting and reviewing by-laws and declarations and service agreements.
Robert is a frequent lecturer on issues of concern to community associations and has authored numerous articles on condominium & homeowner association law. He has been a member of Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit's Executive Committee and served as the Chairman of the firm’s Condominium and Homeowner Association Practice Group.
