Robert Kogen was the first associate Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit ever hired directly out of law school. Equipped with a quick legal mind and a tireless work ethic, he quickly worked his way up to Principal.

Today,Ā Robert is one of the firm’s senior most association lawyers, providing practical advice and solutions to guideĀ condominium, homeowner (HOA), and townhome community associationsĀ through virtually every imaginable legal scenario.

RobertĀ has been a member of the firm’s Executive Committee since and serves as the firm’s Managing Principal (2013-present). In these roles, he has been integrally involved with the firm’s strategic development and advancement. Additionally,Ā Robert has served as legal counsel for the Association of Condominium, Townhouse, and Homeowners Associations (ACTHA).Ā He has also authored materials on the subject of association law and is a frequent speaker at association law tradeshows.

RobertĀ received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana and is a graduate of the DePaul University College of Law. He joined Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit in 1992.
