No city in the world looks better on film than Chicago. This is evidenced by the proliferation of television shows and movies being filmed here. These productions are shot “on location” rather than in a sound stage, and many are filmed at associations throughout Chicagoland.

However, there are many issues that the board of directors needs to address before your property is “ready for its close-up!”

Insurance, indemnification, security, payment, and venue for disputes are just a few of the concerns. These, and other issues, need to be covered in an agreement between the Association and the production company. Even if the production company provides its own form of agreement, it should be reviewed by counsel for the Association to make sure it includes appropriate protections for the Association.
